Term

A term life insurance policy is the simplest, purest form of life insurance: You pay a premium for a period of time – typically between 10 and 30 years – and if you die during that time a cash benefit is paid to your family (or anyone else you name as your beneficiary).

Whole

Whole life insurance provides permanent death benefit coverage for the life of the insured. In addition to paying a death benefit, whole life insurance also contains a savings component in which cash value may accumulate on a tax-advantaged basis. These policies may be known as “traditional” life insurance

Final Expense / Burial

Final expense insurance is a life insurance policy that has a lower death benefit, usually intended to cover final expenses and burial costs. Also known as burial insurance or funeral insurance, it’s designed for older adults who are ready to make end-of-life plans, typically age 50 and older
